Description
The project funding provided by the BuntStiftung Munich is aimed at non-profit organizations and educational institutions in Bavaria that are committed to socially and financially disadvantaged children and youth. With a broad spectrum of educational, upbringing, and vocational training offerings, ranging from art and cultural projects to integration initiatives and sports activities, the funding aims to strengthen key competencies as well as self-confidence and to increase social participation. Decisions on the approval of grants are made by the foundation’s committees twice a year in May and October; in exceptional cases, applications may also be submitted throughout the year. The duration of the funded projects is generally 12 months, with personnel expenses, administrative costs, and material costs recognized as eligible expenses.
A formal recognition as a non-profit organization is required for the application. Only projects that directly address disadvantaged children and youth and correspond to one of the funding priorities are supported. The submission must include a completed application form, a detailed project description, and a comprehensive budget plan; additional informational material on previous activities may optionally be attached. The BuntStiftung places particular emphasis on transparent success monitoring and a clear presentation of project results. Interested applicants can find the application form as a PDF on the foundation’s website and must send their documents – signed and complete – by post to the BuntStiftung Munich’s foundation mailbox.
