Project Funding of the Franziskus Foundation – Youth Work of the Franciscans

The Franziskus Foundation – Youth Work of the Franciscans supports non-profit organizations, public institutions, and private individuals nationwide who are committed to children and young people. Projects in child and youth welfare in the areas of education, leisure, and socially integrative offerings based on the Franciscan message are funded. The focus is on initiatives that provide young people, regardless of social or cultural background, with opportunities for personal development and participation. Over the past three decades, more than four million euros have been invested in various programs, including homework assistance, holiday camps, and church-pedagogical offerings that promote responsibility and community spirit.

Applications can be submitted at any time: the required documents – project application (sample document), grant statutes, and expenditure report form – are available for free download. The review of funding applications is ongoing, allowing initiatives to plan their financing flexibly. Both new project ideas and ongoing projects with sustainable impact are considered. The foundation places great importance on transparent use of funds and supports projects through regular reporting. This project funding creates a network of committed organizations that strengthens the life prospects of children and young people in the long term and keeps the Franciscan tradition alive.
