Description
The project funding of the Landschafft! German Foundation for Cultural Landscapes supports initiatives that contribute to strengthening the economic, cultural, and ecological quality of rural areas in Germany. Nationwide, both the foundation’s own projects and applications from third parties are funded. The focus is on diverse thematic fields such as environmental and nature conservation, agriculture, regional development, education, research & innovation, training & further education, culture, energy efficiency, and climate protection. Through this holistic approach, a network of committed participants and experts is created, developing sustainable models for a future-proof cultural landscape and actively bringing them into the regions. The foundation relies on resource-compatible usage strategies and supports projects that have an exemplary character and can serve as a model for other regions.
Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, companies, start-ups, private individuals, public institutions, educational institutions, interest groups, as well as other associations. A prerequisite for submitting an application is the implementation of the project in rural areas of Germany. A non-repayable grant is awarded, which is continuously approved within the framework of available funds. Applications for funding can be submitted at any time, allowing initiatives to be realized flexibly and promptly. The foundation places great importance on gender equality and inclusion to offer all actors equal opportunities. Interested projects receive professional support and benefit from the exchange of experience within a broadly established funding network that positions rural areas as vibrant and future-secure economic and living spaces.
