Project Funding by the MELETE Foundation (Applied Research)

The project funding of the MELETE Foundation is aimed at non-profit organizations, companies, educational institutions, and foundations throughout Germany. It provides grants within a permanently open application process for application-oriented research projects in the fields of biosciences, medical technology, and environmental technologies. Funded are concepts with pronounced innovation potential as well as a clear sustainability approach. The goal of this funding is to bring together science and investors and to accelerate the transfer of research results into marketable applications. With this, the MELETE Foundation aims to directly strengthen the innovative capacity and future viability of Germany as a research location.

Interested research teams and institutions submit a meaningful project description in which the degree of innovation, application orientation, and ecological sustainability are convincingly presented. Additionally, a detailed financing plan and proof of scientific qualification are required. The decision is made based on defined evaluation criteria: innovation degree, sustainability, and application orientation are central. As a grant provider, the MELETE Foundation supports projects that not only generate theoretical insights but also address practical needs – from novel diagnostic procedures to environmentally friendly technologies and energy-efficient solutions. The flexible submission option ensures timely funding in view of current challenges at any time.
