Project Funding of the Monsignor Friedrich Ohlhäuser Foundation (Regional Projects)

The Monsignor Friedrich Ohlhäuser Foundation supports regional initiatives in the city and district of Karlsruhe directly through its project funding. Priority is given to needy members of the Baugenossenschaft Familienheim Karlsruhe eG as well as other individuals in need and non-profit or charitable organizations. Material resources, equipment costs, and support services contribute to sustainably improving the living conditions of the target group – whether through the acquisition of kitchen appliances, moving assistance, or day care services. Simple application procedures and the possibility to apply at any time emphasize the foundation’s unbureaucratic character in the spirit of its founder as a committed pastor and Caritas representative.

In selecting projects, criteria such as proven need, measurable benefit for the target group, and regional relevance are decisive. Applicants submit a short form along with proof of income and document the use of funds after disbursement. Membership in the Baugenossenschaft Familienheim Karlsruhe eG, clear determination of need, and the project location within the Baden-Württemberg funding area are prerequisites for funding. Through this targeted support, the foundation promotes social participation, strengthens rural development, and concretely contributes to improving the common good in the Karlsruhe region.
