Description

The project funding of the Apfelbaum Foundation is aimed nationwide at non-profit organizations, educational institutions, interest groups, and associations that develop innovative and sustainability-oriented initiatives. The focus is on projects in the areas of social cohesion and democracy, education, culture and music, as well as research, innovation, work, and social affairs. A formal application procedure is not required; instead, close coordination with the foundation takes place already during the conceptual phase. This ensures that the selected initiatives are designed for lasting impact from the outset and that all parties benefit from a partnership-based exchange.

Funded are initiatives that contribute to intercultural or intergenerational dialogue, build sustainable structures, and bear fruit in the long term. Evaluation criteria include orientation towards sustainable impact, alignment with the defined funding areas, potential for a long-term partnership, and the multiplier effect. Projects that serve as models, create leverage, and pass on knowledge to other actors are particularly welcome. The continuous replenishment of the funding budget enables flexible support – from music education research to civil society engagement to intergenerational dialogue formats. In this way, the Apfelbaum Foundation promotes sustainable growth of life worlds and creates lasting impulses for a livable, solidarity-based future.
