Since 1999, the project funding of the Stiftung Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe has supported nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and public entities nationwide in implementing initiatives in the fields of development cooperation, education, international understanding, as well as science and research. As a grant provider, the foundation enables innovative approaches to securing livelihoods, knowledge transfer, and intercultural dialogue through the awarding of microloans, scholarships, advisory services, and other nonprofit measures. Applications can be submitted continuously, provided that projects pursue a recognized charitable purpose and are based in Germany. Priority is given to initiatives that strengthen local empowerment structures, promote sustainable development, and practically apply scientific findings.
