Description
The project funding of the Kulturregion Hannover Foundation supports non-profit initiatives, associations, and institutions based in the Hannover region in the realization of artistic and cultural projects. Innovative ideas are promoted in the fields of visual arts, music, literature, dance, and theater as well as in interdisciplinary formats to sustainably strengthen the local cultural landscape. Internal decision-making within the foundation usually takes place twice a year by the board, with a timely, informal application submission required at least six weeks before the respective meeting.
Only organizations with proven non-profit status are eligible for funding, whose projects have neither been started nor completed in advance and take place entirely within the Hannover region. A convincing concept with participants, a detailed cost and financing plan, as well as a current certificate of non-profit status are mandatory documents to be submitted. Additionally, an ecological sustainability checklist must be completed to consider ecological aspects already in the planning phase. Institutional ongoing costs, equipment items, scientific publications, awards from other sponsors, construction and monument preservation (except for Schloss Landestrost), mandatory tasks of public bodies, or activities of the supporting institutions are not supported. Approval is granted after positive evaluation, with up to 50% of the amount payable before the completion of the project. A final report on the use of funds must be submitted after the project’s conclusion.
