Description
The "Future for Berlin" Foundation supports non-profit organizations, associations, educational institutions, companies, as well as private individuals with grants for educational, integration, and leisure projects in Berlin. Projects eligible for funding are particularly those that promote children and youth in the areas of vocational & further education, migration, work & social affairs, as well as leisure. Applications can be submitted at any time; however, submission 2–3 months before the project start is recommended to ensure that the application review can be completed within six weeks. The aim of the funding is to realize low-threshold, sustainable, and inclusive offerings that strengthen cohesion in the capital and open up new perspectives for young people. The foundation explicitly targets initiatives that enrich regional educational landscapes and create intercultural meeting spaces.
For a complete application, a completed funding form, a concise project description, a detailed financial plan, and evidence of planned expenses (contracts for work, acquisitions, rental and material costs, or other expenses) must be submitted. Personnel and fee costs cannot be funded. A project must not start before approval. The foundation places great importance on economical use of funds and requires proof of incurred expenses within one month after completion of the measure. Bank details and all necessary receipts are also part of the application package. This structured application process ensures transparency and targeted use of funds, enabling the realization of long-term effective projects for young Berliners.
