Description

The Dutch Community Foundation A. C. (NGAC) annually supports three to four projects in Hesse that focus on cohesion and the integration of non-German-speaking children in Frankfurt am Main. Public institutions, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, interest groups, or other associations may receive additional grants if voluntary engagement is already in place and state or municipal funds are insufficient. Initiatives in the areas of migration, education, culture & media, social affairs, children and youth, as well as vocational training and further education, are supported. Special emphasis is placed on creative, original measures, such as in theater or performing arts, which strengthen social cohesion and facilitate access for non-German-speaking children. The goal is to support projects that promote social cohesion, recognize voluntary commitment, and close gaps in public funding.

The following conditions must be met to submit an application: location or activity in Frankfurt am Main, proof of non-profit status (tax number/exemption certificate), and evidence that state funding is not available or insufficient. The initiative must first be presented through a concept paper (maximum two DIN A4 pages) including information on objectives, timeline, and financing plan. In the event of approval, a complete application with a detailed project description, timeline, financing plan, and bank details is expected. Evaluation criteria include voluntary engagement, relevance to the integration of non-German-speaking children, creativity of the measure, and lack of institutional funding. There is no application deadline – submissions are accepted continuously. Upon positive review, an invitation to submit the full application will be issued, after which the foundation’s board decides on the award and contractual conditions.
