The funding program "Legal Advice and Clearing Services for Refugees" in Vorarlberg aims to support refugees, beneficiaries of subsidiary protection, and persons entitled to asylum with procedural questions regarding their residence status and to accompany their integration process. The focus is on comprehensive legal consultations concerning extensions of subsidiary protection, revocation procedures, changes of residence permits (for example, after divorce or to permanent EU residence), as well as information services on humanitarian right to remain and asylum applications of children born after arrival. Additionally, the clearing services serve as a bridge between those seeking advice, local municipalities, employers, and social institutions to promote sustainable integration into Vorarlberg society. Applications can be submitted continuously, ensuring legal support throughout the entire integration process.
Type of funding: a grant is awarded, which is exclusively available to non-profit organizations. Financing is provided by the Office of the Vorarlberg State Government, Department IVa – Social Affairs and Integration. Prerequisites for a successful application include a viable concept, acceptance of the funding conditions, submission of an activity report, the annual financial statement, and the conduct of an annual review meeting. Since January 1, 2025, applications can be submitted at any time. The objective is to sustainably strengthen the integration of third-country nationals in Vorarlberg through solid legal advice and professional clearing services and to promote their legally secure residence.
