Description
RISE (Resources for Intersectional Solidarity and Empowerment) supports self-organized FLINTA groups nationwide that promote empowerment, non-violence, and social participation of multiply discriminated women, girls, and LBTIQ+ individuals. The program relies on a participatory approach, in which FLINTA take the lead in all phases from conception to implementation. Simple, low-threshold grants enable initiatives to quickly and flexibly launch needs-based projects. Special emphasis is placed on intersectional and solidarity-based networking to dismantle structural barriers and create sustainable spaces for action.
Funding is provided to registered, non-profit organizations or associations that operate as grassroots structures in Germany and focus on multiple discrimination. Key criteria include the equal participation of FLINTA in decision-making processes, solidarity-based project design, and an unbureaucratic administrative structure. RISE is exclusively aimed at projects initiated and led by women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans, and queer persons. Funding is provided through grants and is continuously available to enable sustainable, self-determined engagement for protection against violence and the strengthening of feminist participation.
