Description

The S.O.F. Academy offers nationwide 1- to 3-day online training courses in the field of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), specifically tailored to educational professionals as well as managers in daycare centers and child day care. From April 2026 onwards, numerous dates will be available, for which registration is possible at any time via an online form – as long as places are still available. The fee-based modules allow participation of up to two persons per institution and provide practical tools to design everyday daycare activities in a resource-conserving, fair, and healthy manner. Both compact one-day workshops and in-depth three-day formats are offered.

The core of the qualification offerings focuses on the fundamentals of the ESD concept, proven methods from best-practice examples, and strategies for implementing sustainability and resource protection measures in early childhood education. Topics such as team and parent collaboration, development of individual project ideas, and handling of certification procedures (e.g., KITA21) are complemented by a digital resource kit containing further practical guides, literature recommendations, and action proposals. The funding aims to strengthen the competencies of professionals and managers to independently plan, implement, and further develop sustainable educational initiatives. Participation is supported with a flat-rate subsidy of €175 per person (1-day) or €360 per person (3-day).
