Description
The funding initiative "Clean Heating – Promotion of the Replacement of Oil and Gas Heating Systems" supports low-income private households in Vienna in transitioning from fossil heating systems to sustainable technologies. Funding is provided particularly for connection to highly efficient district heating networks, the installation of central wood heating systems, and the installation of heat pumps. With this measure, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Regions and Tourism makes an important contribution to the decarbonization of space heating and the achievement of climate neutrality. Funding applications can be submitted from April 1, 2022, to December 31, 2026.
A prerequisite for a successful application is the submission of a renovation concept, a valid energy certificate, or a report from a qualified energy consultation. In addition, verifiable personal costs of at least 2,000 euros must be incurred within the framework of the eco-special expense allowance, and proof of eligibility must be provided through receipt of social assistance, GIS/ORF exemption, or income determination according to the housing allowance method. Applicants submit the required documents to the responsible regional funding office and, upon positive evaluation, benefit from a one-time grant that covers a substantial part of the investment costs. This funding offers an attractive opportunity to sustainably renew heating systems and reduce energy costs in the long term.
