Description
The funding program "Clean Heating for All" supports low-income private households in Vorarlberg and Vienna in replacing fossil heating systems with climate-friendly technologies. Eligible applicants are owners of single- or two-family houses or terraced houses with primary residence at the specified locations, whose household income is in the lowest income third (max. €1,904 net/month for single-person households). Funding covers 100% of eligible costs up to €37,550. The program includes climate-friendly local/district heating connections, central wood heating systems, and heat pumps. By switching to renewable heat sources, it makes a significant contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions and supports Austria’s climate neutrality goals by 2040. Online registration starts on 02.01.2025; applications can be submitted until 31.12.2025 at the latest (subject to budget availability). Mandatory energy consulting must be completed before application submission.
The project duration is 12 months. Eligible costs include planning costs as well as material, installation, and dismantling or disposal costs for decommissioned boilers and tank systems. Excluded are heat distribution systems, individual room controls, own labor, and domestic hot water heat pumps. The funding process consists of three steps: online registration, mandatory energy consulting, and application submission via the platform. Application documents must include proof of social assistance, GIS exemption, or housing allowance, current private household and land register confirmation, energy consulting report, trade quotes, commissioning confirmation, final accounting form, and invoices for the heating system replacement. Upon positive review and successful project implementation, funds will be disbursed. This funding initiative sets locally sustainable modernization impulses and contributes to environmental and climate protection.
