Description

The EU-wide call "SNS Operations and Output Optimisation" (HORIZON-JU-SNS-2026-STREAM-CSA-01) targets public institutions, non-profit organizations, and companies of all sizes that wish to actively participate in program management, data collection, and community building within the framework of the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU). The 24-month coordination and support project has a total budget of €3 million and covers personnel, material, and travel costs as well as subcontractor services and conference expenses. Participants must be based in EU Member States or associated countries and have experience in EU projects or technology management. A 100% funding rate applies under the condition of compliance with security and IP requirements.

The focus is on transparent management of SNS JU Phases 1–3 through structured collaboration and standardized data collection. During the project, KPIs and 6G-KPI mapping will be collected, with evaluations conducted program-wide. A comprehensive dissemination package aims to increase visibility and awareness, including communication in specialist and public media and co-organization of the EuCNC & 6G Summit 2027 and 2028. Network and community animation supports exchange between industry, research, and authorities as well as the promotion of standardization work in bodies such as 3GPP, ITU, or IEEE. Expert panels and thematic working groups enable professional discourse, while a Europe-wide maintained cartography of relevant initiatives reveals synergies with national programs. Interested stakeholders from industry, science, and administration thus receive a structured platform to efficiently advance joint research, innovation, and standardization activities in the 6G context.
