Description
The program Solar Systems ≥ 100 sqm promotes thermal solar systems throughout Austria with a gross collector area of at least 100 m² for hot water preparation, space heating, process heat, as well as the operation of cooling systems. In addition to the actual system, planning and installation are also funded, with acquisition costs, air collectors, heat storage, piping, and distribution networks recognized as eligible expenses. Eligible applicants include companies, interest groups, non-profit associations, and religious institutions. Applications for funding can be submitted from 01.03.2024 until 31.12.2050; the funding reference number is #242.
A prerequisite for a funding commitment is the application submission prior to the first legally binding order or the start of construction. For submission, a technical description, a monthly yield forecast, a test report of the collectors, offers or cost estimates, as well as permits for construction and operation of the system must be provided. For an investment volume exceeding €500,000, a report from the credit institution is additionally required. The processing is carried out online via Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH. This funding instrument supports companies and organizations in implementing large-scale solar thermal projects, increasing energy efficiency, and making a sustainable contribution to climate protection.
