Description

The Karl H. Ditze Foundation continuously supports charitable and social initiatives in the Hamburg area and its surroundings. With a focus on children and young people, people with disabilities, as well as socially disadvantaged groups, project-related grants are awarded to institutions recognized as charitable or non-profit for tax purposes, public bodies, and private individuals. The aim of the support is to improve the starting opportunities for young people, provide help for self-help for disadvantaged and disabled persons, and strengthen other non-profit social institutions. Applications can be submitted at any time, provided that the project location or area of impact is in Hamburg or the nearby surroundings. The funding amount is based on the individual need and the expected social benefit of the submitted projects.

Examples of supported initiatives include career orientation, educational programs, leisure and therapy concepts, as well as integration projects for refugees and migrants. Measures for health prevention, senior care, or youth prevention are also considered. In the past, the foundation has supported, among others, training workshops, mobile youth work, and integrative ecological farms. Applications must be submitted in writing with a project description, budget plan, and proof of non-profit status. A jury decides on the funding approval, taking into account the professional quality and the sustainable benefit for the Hamburg community. Interested project sponsors can obtain detailed funding guidelines directly from the Karl H. Ditze Foundation.
