Description
The Sparkassenstiftung Lüneburg supports non-profit initiatives in the city of Bleckede, in Amt Neuhaus, as well as in the Samtgemeinde Dahlenburg and Ostheide through the Bleckede/Eastern District Funding Fund. The aim is to promote projects, events, and activities in the fields of art and culture, children and youth, sports, social affairs, education, research & innovation, as well as nature and environmental protection and heritage preservation. Funding applications can be submitted by associations, foundations, public institutions, or interest groups recognized as non-profit. An exemption notice and a detailed cost and financing plan are mandatory components of the application. Investment projects are supported up to 33% of the total costs, while project costs are eligible for a funding rate of up to 50%. Only non-commercial measures, in the sense of § 52 AO, that are non-profit and have their seat or place of activity in the defined region are eligible to apply.
Submissions must be made by March 31, 2026, via the digital platform “Hand in Hand for Lüneburg.” After the deadline, the foundation board members will make a decision in November 2026. Funded measures must be implemented and accounted for within twelve months after approval; for investment projects, the foundation can cover up to one-third of the total costs. It is recommended to prepare the application early and to complete the registration of the organization along with the uploaded exemption notice promptly. In doing so, the funding fund contributes to effectively advancing local projects in art, youth, education, and the environment and sustainably strengthening cultural diversity in the Bleckede/Eastern District.
