Description
The Renewable Resources Foundation awards scholarships of €2,500 each every two years to 15 dedicated students from the administrative district of Lower Bavaria/East Bavaria. The aim is holistic support that goes beyond financial assistance: scholarship holders receive free access to specialist events organized by the Competence Center for Renewable Resources, C.A.R.M.E.N. e. V., the Technical University of Munich, the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, as well as the Technology and Support Center of the Free State of Bavaria. Additionally, the foundation organizes a scholarship holders’ day at the NAWAREUM Straubing, which includes workshops and discussion rounds on sustainability, the energy transition, and renewable resources. Furthermore, the foundation’s advisory board and executive board are available for personal consultations to deepen individual questions and perspectives.
Funding is granted to all private individuals enrolled in East Bavaria who can demonstrate through academic achievements or engagement in the field of renewable resources and sustainability that they are actively committed to the energy transition. A valid enrollment certificate from a university in the administrative district of Lower Bavaria, as well as corresponding proof of achievements or letters of reference, are prerequisites. The next award will take place in 2025; the application deadline will be announced in due time on the foundation’s website. With this initiative, the Renewable Resources Foundation strengthens the next generation of experts and multipliers who advance innovative solutions for a sustainable raw materials economy.
