Description

The Gerlacianum Scholarship Foundation provides nationwide support to students in advanced studies who are direct descendants of the family of Sibrand Gerlach, with a one-time grant ranging from €800 to €4,000. The aim is to alleviate the financial burden of individuals who have completed a bachelor's degree or an equivalent first degree and are currently enrolled in a master's or other advanced study program. Selection is based on proof of direct lineage and a declaration of financial need. Applications can be submitted by March 31 each year; the next deadline is March 31, 2026.

For the application, family certificates proving descent, certified academic records (bachelor’s degree and original enrollment certificate for advanced studies), as well as a copy of the high school diploma must be submitted. Additionally, a written statement of financial need is required. A personal cover letter and a completed data protection form complete the application package. The decision is made by a panel of curators and deputies, taking into account the submitted documents and the limited funds available. Significant support is intended to help family members of Sibrand Gerlach successfully complete their advanced studies.
