Purpose of Funding and Target Group
In Carinthia, there are ongoing subsidy opportunities for agricultural and forestry enterprises based in Villach. Both natural persons and legal entities such as companies, cooperatives, non-profit organizations, or public institutions are eligible for funding. The objective is to offset the costs incurred by the keeping of male breeding animals as well as the construction and maintenance of associated sire facilities. Thus, the funding contributes to securing healthy breeding stocks and strengthening a sustainable agricultural economy in the region.

Funding Requirements and Application Procedure
A resolution by the Committee for Agriculture and Forestry as well as budgetary coverage in the municipal budget are prerequisites. The measure applies only for the calendar year and requires a complete accounting by December 31 of the same year. Eligible expenses include levies from the keeping of male breeding animals and costs for the corresponding facilities. To apply, the online form, the committee resolution, a veterinary certificate in case of livestock loss, and a disposal certificate in case of emergency slaughter must be submitted. Applications can be submitted electronically from January 1, 2023, until the funding volume is exhausted. The ongoing submission deadline ensures flexible adaptation to actual demand and guarantees timely processing of the subsidies.
