Teachers Science Club

The exclusive event series is aimed at STEM teachers in Hamburg and offers an intensive format twice a year for professional exchange and inspiration. In two-hour sessions, three scientists from cutting-edge research present current findings on topics such as quantum research, materials of the future, or climate change. Through half-hour keynote presentations followed by Q&A sessions, space is created for interdisciplinary perspectives and well-founded discussions. The meetings take place at the premises of the Hamburg Student Research Center and are jointly organized by the Körber Foundation and the Hamburg Student Research Center. A certificate of participation documents attendance and underscores the professional benefit for everyday teaching.

The event series specifically promotes networking and exchange between teachers and scientists, thereby creating direct encounters between schools and research. All active STEM teachers at Hamburg schools who have an interest in current research topics and interdisciplinary impulses are eligible. Applications for the spring and autumn sessions are accepted by fixed deadlines and can be submitted via the Körber Foundation’s online portal. Through participation, teachers gain new inspiration for their lessons, expand their network, and receive initial insights into trends in STEM research that sustainably foster motivation and enthusiasm among learners.
