With a project duration of up to 60 months and a possible funding amount of up to €600,000 per project, personnel resources, consulting and development services, investments in patent rights, certifications, machinery & equipment, consumables, as well as structural renovation measures are supported. The funding rate ranges between 25% and 80% depending on the project, allowing for various combinations for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), large companies, and start-up projects. Submissions are possible from June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026, with the next deadlines on September 30, 2025 and May 31, 2026.
The evaluation criteria include the level of innovation, the focus on social and ethical responsibility, and the concrete benefit for the respective target group. Regular operating costs are not considered. For the application, a fully completed funding application, the application confirmation, a de minimis declaration, as well as the most recent annual financial statement or an income-expenditure statement must be submitted. Universities, universities of applied sciences, associations, and non-university research institutions can be included as project partners. Through this interdisciplinary approach, the program promotes not only technological excellence but also sustainable and human-centered innovations at the Vienna business location.
