Description
The Tourism Impulse Program for Innovation – Cooperation promotes innovative and booking-relevant product and offer developments in tourism in Upper Austria. The target group consists of existing or newly established cooperations of companies from the tourism and leisure industry as well as tourism organizations that have joined together as a legal entity or working group (ARGE) based on a written cooperation agreement. The partnership must predominantly belong to the Chamber of Commerce divisions for Tourism and Leisure Industry or the Specialist Group for Cable Cars and Shipping. Both vertical cooperations with upstream or downstream sectors as well as lateral alliances with partners from various economic sectors are supported. Funding applications can be submitted continuously but must be received by the State of Upper Austria before the start of the measures. Parallel submission to federal funding agencies is mandatory to ensure optimal coordination of funding.
The programmatic grant covers external costs of all phases of offer and product development: from conception through planning and implementation of innovative distribution systems to success monitoring. A prerequisite is full compliance with the contents of the Tourism Coursebook Upper Austria 2011–2016. Applications are submitted via a funding application and require a detailed cooperation concept as well as a cost and financing plan. Retroactive funding cannot be granted; therefore, the application must be submitted before the project begins. The measure is secured through document checks based on original invoices; on-site inspections remain reserved for the funding agency. This program specifically supports innovative cooperations and thus contributes to a sustainable strengthening of the tourism location Upper Austria.
