Description
Tourism Financing Plus supports small and medium-sized enterprises in Baden-Württemberg in modernizing, expanding, digitizing, or sustainably further developing tourist facilities within the scope of business takeovers. Investments in accommodation and gastronomy businesses as well as leisure facilities such as campsites, theme and amusement parks, or climbing gardens are eligible for funding. As a low-interest loan processed through the house bank system, the program enables financing from €10,000 up to €5 million under individual conditions within a risk-adjusted interest rate system. The loan is supplemented by a repayment grant amounting to 10% of the gross loan, up to a maximum of €200,000. Those who specifically develop or have already implemented a climate strategy can benefit from the “Sustainability Bonus” in three funding levels: from the CO₂ balance sheet through reduction targets to the success monitoring of existing measures, these tiers offer additional interest rate reductions and reward sustainable business practices.
Companies with their registered office and investment location in Baden-Württemberg must provide a business registration and tax compliance. Eligible are modernization, expansion, and new construction of existing properties, equipment, interior fittings, technical infrastructure, machinery, and digital innovations (software and hardware). Operating resources, mobile gastronomy offerings, or cases requiring renovation are not funded. Applications can be submitted at any time through the house bank procedure; the house bank forwards the application including project description, cost and financing plan, as well as CO₂ balance sheet (for sustainability levels 1 and 3) or measures catalog (level 2) and other documentation to L-Bank. Upon successful approval, disbursement is made via the credit institution, and the repayment grant credit follows after proof of use. Tourism Financing Plus thus promotes future-proof investments that strengthen Baden-Württemberg as a leisure and overnight destination in the long term.
