Description
UK reloaded – New Impulses for Local Partnerships is aimed at educational institutions, interest groups, associations, and non-profit organizations based in Bavaria. The grant program of the Foundation for the Promotion of International Youth Exchange in Bavaria revitalizes German-British youth exchange after Brexit. Bavaria-based schools and youth organizations are supported in bringing together young people from the Free State and the United Kingdom in local partnerships. The focus is on encounters within the framework of existing city or school partnerships as well as cooperation between civil society organizations from both countries. In the long term, the exchange is to be continued, reactivated, and further developed in sustainable formats to promote a lasting bilateral dialogue.
The funding covers travel and accommodation costs, preparation expenses, as well as exploratory trips. Applications can be submitted continuously, with a partnership with local partners in the United Kingdom being a central prerequisite. The selection process considers the innovative nature of the format, the sustainable orientation of the cooperation, and existing city partnerships in the evaluation. The program’s goal is to create a long-term viable basis for youth exchange, reactivate existing networks, and establish new forms of encounters. Interested project sponsors can find further information in the Foundation’s funding guidelines and are guided to plan and implement their exchange projects with a future-oriented approach.
