Environmental Funding - Grant for the Climate Ticket Styria

The environmental promotion of the City of Graz supports Graz residents in purchasing the KlimaTicket Styria, thereby promoting climate protection, environmental and nature conservation, as well as energy efficiency. The offer is valid throughout the entire Styrian network area and in the tariff extension zones, with the exception of Vienna. With a subsidy of €100 for the Classic variant and €75 for youth, seniors, and special categories, the ticket price is immediately reduced at the time of purchase. Beneficiaries thus enjoy unrestricted access to trains, buses, and trams and actively contribute to the transport transition and the reduction of CO₂ emissions in the city and region.

The funding is aimed at private individuals with their main residence in Graz. A fully completed and signed funding application as well as an official photo ID must be presented when applying free of charge. Processing is unlimited and can be done at any time at the Mobility and Sales Center of Holding Graz or conveniently via the GrazMobil app, with the subsidy being directly deducted from the network tariff. Repeat applications are required for subsequent ticket purchases to verify residency. This straightforward funding facilitates the switch to climate-friendly mobility and strengthens commitment to sustainable transport options in Styria.
