Support in Upbringing according to Bgld. KJHG
The funding from the State of Burgenland is aimed at private individuals whose children or adolescents are affected by an imminent risk to their well-being. Since November 14, 2013, grants have been continuously approved to ensure responsible care and upbringing. The focus is on active support through outpatient, mobile, and semi-inpatient services that relieve families and guardians throughout Burgenland. The measure aims to avert risks without resorting to formal full custody interventions.
Scope of Services and Application Procedures
Targeted counseling and care services, protective measures such as regular home or doctor visits, as well as agreements to restrict harmful contacts are funded. Support for children and adolescents outside the home environment can also be part of the offer. A prerequisite for the grant is that a risk to the child’s well-being is to be averted and that full custody measures are not yet necessary. Applications can be submitted at any time to the district administrations or magistrates of the statutory cities in Burgenland – no deadline is specified. This funding instrument ensures a comprehensive support system that acts preventively and prioritizes the welfare of children and adolescents above all.
