Description

The state government of Vorarlberg provides financial grants for agricultural enterprises with livestock under a de minimis aid scheme, thereby recognizing the central importance of this economic sector in the region. Businesses with dairy or suckler cows, young cattle, sheep, or goats have the opportunity to submit applications year-round and benefit from an annual budget totaling 4 million euros. The funding is granted as a direct payment upon approval and represents an important component for strengthening rural development as well as stabilizing and modernizing the domestic agricultural sector. The unlimited application period allows farm owners to respond flexibly to operational conditions and to plan their livestock farming in the long term.

A prerequisite for funding, in addition to having the business location in Vorarlberg, is the proper registration of all livestock in the cattle database (RinderNET) of Agrarmarkt Austria or in the AMA animal list. The performance compensation can also be granted on a project basis for individual animal categories under special conditions, for example within the framework of a whole milk calf campaign. The funding procedure is based on the Agricultural and Forestry Promotion Act as well as the EU regulation on the application of de minimis aid in the agricultural sector. By participating, farm owners not only secure financial support but also emphasize their commitment to sustainable livestock farming in Vorarlberg.
