Description
The funding supports active and sworn volunteers of the Berg- und Naturwacht Salzburg in their professional qualification and equipment for deployments. In the form of a grant, up to 50% of the course costs for training and further education, but no more than €250.00, are reimbursed. Additionally, funds of up to €50.00 can be applied for equipment items that are not provided by the State of Salzburg and are urgently required for service performance. The goal is to sustainably strengthen professional competencies in environmental and nature conservation, disaster protection, climate protection, as well as in social and energy-technical areas, and to improve operational readiness in mountainous terrain.
Applicants must prove active and sworn membership in the Berg- und Naturwacht Salzburg and provide a written justification of the benefit of the training or equipment. Confirmation by the department management 5/06 as well as the state management of the Berg- und Naturwacht is required. No grant for equipment items may have been granted in the past three years. Applications can be submitted year-round. The following documents are required for the application: invoice, proof of payment, photo of the equipment, justification for participation in the training, and proof of its successful completion. This funding enables a targeted strengthening of voluntary commitment and secures operational readiness for nature conservation and rescue tasks in Salzburg.
