Description
The EU funding program supports initiatives to strengthen human rights and civil society actors in Uruguay and aims to sustainably consolidate democratic processes. Projects in the areas of social cohesion and democracy, development cooperation, as well as labor, social affairs, agriculture, and rural development are eligible for funding. Non-profit organizations, public institutions, companies, and other actors with headquarters or branches in Uruguay may apply for a grant. Financial resources are primarily available for personnel costs, material expenses, travel costs, and event expenses.
Participants must be registered by the application deadline (e.g., in PADOR or with proof of public legal status) and meet the EU exclusion criteria. The application period begins on December 11, 2025, and ends on February 18, 2026. Submission is made using the official forms, including project description, budget, logical framework, and explanatory statements on financing conditions. A careful compilation of the required documents is a prerequisite for eligibility for funding. With this call, the European Commission makes an important contribution to the sustainable establishment of human rights standards and democratic participation in Uruguay.
