Description
The association funding in the areas of wind and folk music, folk culture, and regional museums in Salzburg supports state and district associations as well as museums with indirect subsidies to cover basic expenses and to finance training measures. Eligible to apply are non-profit interest groups or associations, such as the seven Salzburg state associations (museums and collections, local heritage associations, marksmen, wind music, folk song association, choir association), the existing district associations, and the umbrella organization Salzburg Folk Culture. The goal is the sustainable strengthening of cultural engagement at the regional and state level by cushioning ongoing costs and promoting qualification offers. Continuous applications are possible, as the funding is offered with unlimited duration and annual deadlines are communicated in the funding letter of the responsible government member.
A prerequisite for a successful application is the submission of a fully completed written application before the project begins, as well as legible documents with an appropriate own contribution. Eligible expenses include exclusively basic expenses and training measures; other costs such as investments or operating expenses are not considered. To apply, a detailed budget and project plan including cost calculation for the next budget year and the fully completed funding application must be submitted. The funding guidelines are based on the General Guidelines for the Granting of Funding from the State of Salzburg as well as on European legal requirements. Accounting is carried out in accordance with the regulations in the annual funding letter and requires proof of use. Especially regionally significant associations and museums receive important financial planning security for their basic work and further training through this funding.
