Description
The funding measure “VOR Joint Subsidies for the Financing of Regional Motor Vehicle Lines” supports the assurance and further development of sustainable transport services in Burgenland. The state of Burgenland provides an annual subsidy of €900,000 to ensure the cost-covering financing of regional motor vehicle lines. The basis is the partnership agreement between the state of Burgenland and Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region GmbH (VOR), in which the state holds a 12% stake. The goal is to maintain attractive and demand-oriented bus and rail solutions that ensure environmentally friendly mobility in rural areas and improve connections to supraregional transport networks.
Eligible for funding is Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region GmbH as a public institution, which can claim the annual subsidy within the framework of the contractually agreed services. Applications can be submitted continuously, without time limitation, and depend solely on fulfilling the contractual obligations. The measure falls within the thematic areas of infrastructure as well as infrastructure & urban development and is aimed at experts and decision-makers in transport management. Interested parties can research the funding guidelines and contractual bases in the Transparency Portal of the Republic of Austria to obtain well-founded information on implementation and further planning of regional mobility projects.
