Contractual Funding of the Historical Association for Carinthia

The contractual funding of the Historical Association for Carinthia supports registered, non-profit associations and interest groups in Carinthia in fulfilling their statutory tasks. The focus is on the publication of the scientific journal Carinthia I as well as other special publications that advance historical research and regional scientific documentation. The funding is provided as an indefinite grant and can be applied for at any time. It contributes to sustainably securing the cultural heritage of the region and strengthening scientific exchange.

Eligible for funding are primarily organizations that publish works in the field of historical science. A prerequisite is proof of the regular publication of the association’s journal and special volumes. A completed and signed application form must be submitted, as well as the mandatory reference to support from the State of Carinthia using the “Kärnten Kultur” logo. The funding application can be submitted online via the KU2 form to the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 14 – Arts and Culture. Following a positive decision, the grant is paid directly towards the production and distribution costs of the publications. Original invoices of at least the same amount serve as proof of use. This funding measure helps to permanently secure a high-quality scientific publishing sector in Carinthia and to make local research initiatives visible.
