Administrative Regulation on Grants for Fire Services

The VwV Grants for Fire Services target public institutions in Baden-Württemberg and continuously provide subsidies to strengthen municipal fire protection. Based on the administrative regulation ZFeuVwV, municipalities, districts, administrative communities, and special-purpose associations receive financial resources for allocations and investment grants in the fire service sector. The goal is the sustainable maintenance and improvement of the operational capability of fire departments in disaster protection and within the social fabric of the regions. Applications can be submitted at any time, with a possible project start from January 1, 2025. The funding guideline enables needs-based equipment of fire engines, stations, and equipment items to ensure practical operational readiness and the safety of emergency personnel.

The measure promotes municipal self-responsibility and supports strategic investments in modern technology, training and further education, as well as infrastructure measures. By providing public funds, long-term stability in fire service operations is achieved, which in turn benefits the entire population.
