Description

The WieNeu+ Neighborhood Funding supports innovative technical and construction-technical concepts that go beyond the current state of the art and are not yet established. Pilot projects in the Viennese neighborhood areas Innerfavoriten, Neighborhood 20 + 2, and Hernals are funded, creating exemplary good-practice examples in climate and environmental protection as well as resource conservation. The goal is sustainable urban renewal through integrative solutions that contribute to urban environmental and climate objectives. With a grant volume of up to €500,000 per project, additional costs for innovative measures as well as planning services (up to €30,000) are particularly supported. The funding rate ranges between 40% and 60% depending on the company size. Natural persons and non-profit organizations can claim a funding rate of up to 60% with a maximum grant amount of €100,000.

The funding is aimed at citizens, companies of all sizes, and non-profit organizations that can demonstrate a clear substantive and geographic connection to the City of Vienna. Key evaluation criteria include the degree of innovation, the contribution to the city’s climate and environmental protection goals, and the good-practice potential within the respective program area. A prerequisite is the presence of public interest in terms of environmental and climate protection or promotion of the common good. Submissions for the Neighborhood 20 + 2 program area are possible until December 31, 2025, and for the Hernals area until December 31, 2028. Application documents include the fully completed application form as well as all other required documents according to the funding guidelines.
