Description
The program of the German Children and Youth Foundation is committed nationwide to empowering girls aged 10–18 and opening up self-determined perspectives beyond conventional gender roles. Educational institutions can submit STEM and craft project ideas to promote technical skills and manual dexterity. Participants gain not only subject-specific expertise through hands-on workshops but also develop increased confidence in their own competencies and creative potential. With a grant of up to €2,500, materials, tools, and expert speakers can be financed, providing students with practical insights into scientific or craft-related professions.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and are aimed at schools and other educational providers submitting a project concept for girls. A clear target group orientation towards the age group of 10–18 years is a prerequisite. Funding is approved easily through a standardized process, allowing innovative ideas to be implemented promptly. Through networking and professional exchange, teachers and project leaders benefit just as much as the young participants themselves.
