Center for Applied Technology - Start-up Center Leoben

The Center for Applied Technology Leoben operates as a specialized startup center of the Montan University Leoben and the city of Leoben, targeting technology-oriented founders as well as innovative start-ups. From the pre-seed phase onward, a comprehensive support program is available, combining individual consulting and practical coaching with state-of-the-art infrastructure. Thematically, the program covers areas such as business formation, corporate financing, research & innovation, and digitalization. A broad network of experts, research institutions, and investors creates valuable networking opportunities. Furthermore, development projects are specifically supported to pave the way from concept to market readiness and to promote sustainable growth.

The funding is designed as a non-repayable grant and is aimed at founders and companies based in Austria pursuing a highly technological business idea in the pre-seed phase. Requirements include a technology-oriented founding idea and an Austrian project location. Eligible expenses include consulting and coaching, use of the provided infrastructure, as well as the expansion of network and know-how. A funding amount of up to €90,000 can be applied for per project. The application period runs from 01.03.2024 to 31.05.2026. Through clearly defined framework conditions and integration into an established startup ecosystem, the program significantly contributes to effectively supporting visionary technology initiatives and anchoring them sustainably.
