Description

The program "Future Donors (School Sponsorship)" of the Free the Children Children's Fund Foundation offers a straightforward way to secure educational opportunities for children in the Parganas district/West Bengal (India) in the long term and thereby combat child labor. Private individuals support the Nivedita School from a monthly contribution of €5 and thus help young people break the vicious cycle of poverty and exploitation through schooling. Within the framework of development cooperation, supporters receive an annual report on local progress and can request a donation receipt upon request. The program is equally aimed at individuals, groups, and school classes who wish to responsibly contribute to the promotion of education in rural areas.

Applications can be submitted at any time and only require the signing of a SEPA direct debit mandate as well as the completed "Future Donors (PDF)" form. Continuous sponsorship funding not only finances teaching materials and school infrastructure but also implements psychosocial services for children and adolescents. The nationwide initiative makes education tangible and pursues the goal of enabling young people to live a life of dignity. Through the direct connection to the Nivedita School, transparency and trust in the use of funds are created, while local structures are sustainably strengthened at the same time.
