Description
Collaboration for Land Management and Climate-Friendly Land Use supports cooperative networks in Brandenburg that jointly develop and implement site-adapted, climate-friendly land use concepts. Eligible for funding are associations of agricultural enterprises with environmental/nature conservation organizations, research institutions, municipalities, and other relevant stakeholders. Concepts for agri-environmental and climate protection planning as well as their consistent support in concept management are funded at a rate of 80% to 100% of eligible expenses. A one-time amount of up to €50,000 can be requested for concept development, and up to €50,000 per year is available for concept management. Eligible expenses include personnel costs, material costs, and overhead costs. Investment costs are not considered. The project duration is up to 24 months, with a two-year commitment and a five-year binding period to be observed. A technical preliminary review—especially of concept outlines—is mandatory and is accompanied by the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Climate Protection of Brandenburg.
The funding objective is the effective implementation of market- and site-appropriate land management measures, the preservation and improvement of agriculturally connected ecosystems, and the consistent fulfillment of climate protection-related requirements. Evaluation criteria include the degree of innovation, sustainability aspects, and target group relevance. Applications can be submitted online at any time; the application process is formalized through the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg. A prerequisite is a project-related cooperation agreement between at least two partners, demonstrating that at least one partner is active in land use. Broad involvement and sustainable anchoring of network partners increase the effectiveness of the projects and make an important contribution to climate-resilient, environmentally compatible, and socially accepted land management in Brandenburg.
