The goal is to secure continued payment of wages during the leave period – an important contribution in the fields of disaster protection and labor & social affairs. A flat rate amount of €200 per day and employee is funded, with the federal government reimbursing the funds to the state. The funding can be applied for continuously and is aimed at companies, non-profit organizations, as well as public institutions in Upper Austria. The funding amount covers 100% of the continued wage payments made for deployment days with a minimum duration of eight hours.
Requirements include: membership in a recognized voluntary emergency organization, a deployment duration of at least eight hours due to a major damage event or mountain rescue operation, and full release of the employees with continued payment of wages. Applications must be submitted no later than the end of the quarter following the end of the deployment. The official application form and all required attachments are needed for submission. The Directorate of Internal Affairs and Municipalities of the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government is responsible.
