Description
The grant for necessary structural modifications of apartments and residential buildings in Styria provides financial support specifically aimed at structural renovations. The program targets private owners whose property serves as the primary residence for people with disabilities and who require adaptations due to special needs. Eligible applicants are persons recognized as disabled under the Styrian Disability Act, provided they have their primary residence in Styria. Funded are structural renovation and adaptation measures that increase accessibility and enable long-term independent living, ranging from door widenings and ramps to comprehensive sanitary facilities.
The funding is characterized by ongoing application opportunities without fixed deadlines and has been available since November 12, 2013. Embedded within the thematic areas of social affairs, housing construction & modernization, as well as infrastructure & urban development, it contributes to sustainable integration and participation. The goal is to improve the living situation of people with disabilities through tailored architectural solutions. The processing is carried out by Department 11 – Social Affairs, Labor and Integration of the Office of the Styrian Provincial Government, which reviews and professionally supports the applications. By providing a direct grant, barriers in the living environment are effectively reduced and everyday safety is increased.
