Description
The funding program supports the establishment and development of independent micro-enterprises in rural regions of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with the aim of diversifying the local economic structure and strengthening the range of services offered. Investments in tangible assets as well as accompanying consulting, architectural, and engineering services related to the implementation of the project are eligible for funding. The grant is provided as a non-repayable subsidy amounting to 30% to 35% of the eligible expenses. Applications can be submitted annually by November 30th online to the State Office for Agriculture and Environment West Mecklenburg; the minimum investment volume is EUR 10,000 net. Project selection is based on fixed deadlines (March 31, June 30, September 30, November 30) and binding selection criteria.
Eligible are micro-enterprises according to the EU SME definition with a business location outside upper and middle centers, as well as an annual turnover or annual balance sheet total of a maximum of EUR 2 million and fewer than ten employees. The main sales of the manufactured goods or provided services must take place within a radius of 50 km around the business location. Conditions for the grant include proof of professional qualification, a detailed business plan, and complete proof of financing. Funding is provided, among other things, for new acquisitions of machinery, office and retail equipment, or technical installations; ineligible are land acquisition, replacement investments, leasing, used assets, energy generation systems, residential buildings, vehicles (except mobile sales units), as well as value-added tax and non-cash own contributions. Funded assets must remain in the company for at least five years or be replaced by assets of equal or higher value.
