Description
The program "Grants from the Fisheries Levy" of the State of Brandenburg supports projects for the preservation and development of fisheries with subsidies of up to 90% of eligible expenses, with a minimum of €250. Funded measures include fish stocking and population regulation, scientific experimental and research work, training and further education offers, as well as public relations activities. Eligible applicants are natural persons, partnerships, and legal entities under public and private law based in Brandenburg, in particular companies, associations/clubs, public institutions, and private individuals committed to fisheries interests.
For application, formal application forms must be submitted together with a cost and financing plan, cost estimates, and proof of all required permits and approvals. Fish stocking projects must be submitted by April 30 of each year. The program is valid until December 31, 2027. The granting authority has the final decision within the framework of available funds. Eligible expenses include personnel and material costs, stocking measures, scientific work, training and further education, as well as public relations measures; legally mandatory construction and maintenance measures as well as measures in the productive sector of fisheries or aquaculture are not funded.
