About the funder

The Agitos Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2008 by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). It is headquartered in Bonn and is the only global foundation focused on the development of para-sports. The foundation acts as a catalyst for the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities through the influence of sport. Its goal is to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities worldwide through sports opportunities and to promote an inclusive society. The Agitos Foundation supports projects in the fields of sports, disability assistance, as well as education, general, and vocational training. It funds both national and international projects and provides financial support as well as training for coaches and professionals.
