About the funder

Since its founding in 2013 by the Islamic Association e.V. (Muhajirin Mosque), the AL MANAR Foundation has been the first nationwide Islamic foundation based in Hamburg. It is dedicated to the sustainable promotion of Islamic education and culture and pursues the long-term goal of establishing an open Islamic cultural center in Hamburg. The foundation organizes dialogue formats such as the Hamburg Ramadan Pavilion, interactive Sirah exhibitions, Muslim youth camps, and specialist conferences (iBiKo) to promote intercultural encounters, reduce prejudices, and strengthen social cohesion.
