Mission & Vision

The Altmärkische Bürgerstiftung Hansestadt Stendal is committed to promoting an active civil society in the Altmark region. Through civic engagement, projects in the fields of youth and elderly care, education, heritage preservation, nature and monument protection, arts and culture, as well as science and research, are to be initiated and supported. The long-term goal is for citizens to take responsibility and jointly strengthen the common good.

Target groups

The foundation is aimed at citizens of the Hanseatic City of Stendal and the Altmark region, as well as at non-profit organizations, associations, and initiatives in the fields of youth and elderly care, education, culture, heritage preservation, environmental and monument protection. Project sponsors who wish to implement sustainable, non-profit projects in the region through their own initiative are supported.
