Department 15 of the Office of the Carinthian State Government is responsible for spatial development and location promotion in Carinthia. Its core tasks include local and regional spatial planning, supporting municipal construction and project developments, as well as location marketing. Furthermore, it coordinates energy law and energy funding in Carinthia. It advises municipalities and interest groups on construction and design issues, supports master plan processes, and implements funding programs in the energy sector.

Department 15 is committed to a balanced and sustainable development of the state of Carinthia. Its goal is to create attractive living and business locations through integrated spatial planning and location marketing measures. At the same time, it promotes energy-efficient and climate-friendly projects with legal and financial support to enhance quality of life and ensure the sustainable use of resources.
