Department 11 "Social Affairs, Labor, and Integration" within the Office of the Styrian Provincial Government is responsible for the planning, funding management, and professional support of social welfare measures in Styria. This includes, among other things, the implementation of the Styrian Social Assistance Act, the Disability Act, the Child and Youth Welfare Act, the Senior Citizens Act, as well as the administration of training allowances and funding in the social sector. The department serves as the secretariat for important social committees (Senior Citizens' Advisory Council, Social and Care Committee, People with Disabilities) and thus ensures needs-based social security and integration for all population groups.

We shape a social and inclusive Styria in which all people – regardless of age, origin, or life circumstances – can participate on an equal footing. Through targeted funding programs, legally binding advice, and networking efforts, we strengthen self-determination, social responsibility, and sustainable participation.

The funding and advisory services are aimed at individuals and families in need in Styria, people with disabilities, children, youth, and seniors, providers and institutions of child, youth, disability, and social welfare, non-profit associations, educational institutions, and social service providers, as well as organizations implementing labor market policy and integration-promoting projects.
